Coursey Graves Estate offers an elevated experience with awe-inspiring views. Upon entering, you ascend 1500 feet, revealing breathtaking vistas of Sonoma wine country, extending nearly all the way to the Pacific Coast. Sip wine while immersed in sweeping panoramas of Bennett Valley’s vineyards. At times, it feels as if you’re perched above the clouds. Club members enjoy the ultimate vantage point from our new deck overlooking the enchanting Merlot vineyard.

Gardens

Our estate gardens resemble the charm of the French countryside, bursting with vibrant blooms and buzzing with wildlife. Designed as a pollinator’s haven, the gardens boast over 50 species of flowering plants, many native to Sonoma. Our signature pond makes you feel as if you’ve entered a Monet painting, complete with a bridge and boat handmade by owner John Graves. Our pond and rocky outcrops attract a variety of wildlife, from red-tail hawks and jack rabbits to bobcats and coyotes. You might even spot a family of migrating river otters.

Vineyards

Our Bennett Mountain estate vineyards include 13-acres of Bordeaux and Rhône varietals. These vineyards benefit from rich volcanic soil and ideal growing conditions, insulated by high-elevation forests and cool Pacific Ocean breezes. The conditions allow us to produce wines of remarkable character, fine texture, and complexity.

At one time a sheep farm, John and Denise Graves acquired this 40-acre estate in 2015. Together with Cabell Coursey, they undertook a remarkable revitalization of these rugged vineyards with a focus on enhancing soil quality and improving vine health. Every boulder and rock lining the estate was painstakingly removed to allow deeper vine growth. Truly a labor of love, our stunning estate vineyards captivate both visually and with the incredible wine they produce.

Winery

Coursey Graves is a boutique and operational winery where the magic of vine to wine unfolds right before your eyes. Our estate is alive with activity. The modern stone-architecture infused throughout the winery and caves seamlessly combine functionality and beauty.  Beyond our impressive facilities, our passionate team truly defines us. With great pride, we meticulously craft every aspect of our farming and winemaking process. During peak harvest, you’ll find our entire team in the vineyards, working together over the sorting table, and lending a hand wherever needed.
