Bennett Mountain Estate Blend – Fall release
A blend of Bordeaux varietals farmed on our mountain estate vineyard. It is a pure reflection of terroir. High-elevation, southern facing, volcanic slopes above the fog-line are bathed in sunlight but moderated by nightly inversions and onshore Pacific breezes. The site is unlike any other vineyard or appellation. Aromatically expressive, silky and plush on the palate, it is remarkable that such a rugged site should bear such elegant wine.
Vineyard
The mountainside Graves Vineyard is a one-of-a-kind terroir marked by high elevation, maritime climate, and a rare combination of basalt, rhyolite, and andesite based soils. It is a place where the distinction between rock and soil is blurred. Across the landscape are boulder outcrops hinting at the igneous bedrock just a few feet below the surface. And cool, drying onshore breezes start at the Pacific Ocean and end at the mountain.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley – Winter release
2015 | 2016 | 2017 | 2018 | 2019
A cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley’s most esteemed nested-appellations – Oakville, Howell Mountain and Coombsville. In the company of “Napa Valley Grand Cru” vineyards, our small section of these vineyards are the source of distinguished wines of Napa Valley prominence.
Vineyard
Along the western benchlands of the Oakville AVA, is the Oakville Graves Vineyard. The mid-valley location is tempered by cool evening/morning fog that gives way to midday sunshine. And with the rising Mayacama mountains to the west, the site has the climate and gravelly soil ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon. At an elevation of 2200 feet, the Coursey Graves Howell Mountain Vineyard is another abundantly sunny, yet cool site, distinguished by its volcanic white ash soil.

Estate Syrah – Spring release
The world’s greatest wines are born of great terroir and traditionally inspired winemaking. A sip of this Syrah shows the tightrope it walks — highly aromatic, full of finesse, but just barely fruity enough to be delicious. With only about 150 cases made per vintage, it has emerged as one of the iconic and cellar-worthy Syrahs of the new world.
Vineyard
The frighteningly steep and rock-covered slopes of the Graves Vineyard Syrah block is a demanding parcel to cultivate and hand-pick the resulting fruit. Cooled by onshore winds and marine layers, vines are etched into the mountainside to catch just enough sunlight to ripen grapes fully. Vines planted in 1999 experience a complex terroir that transmits finesse and strength to the resulting wines.

Chardonnay – Spring release
A Chardonnay focused on freshness and precision. Blended from premier vineyard sites across the Sonoma Coast, the heritage clone Chardonnay shows a balance of tension and richness right off the vine. Its élevage inverts the order of the basic bottling, with fermentation as well as the first year of aging taking place in barrels, and another half year on the lees in stainless steel barrels. Toned in ethereal aromatics and innate acidity, it clearly expresses purity of fruit and nuance of site.
A coming-together of two iconic sites – Charles Heintz Vineyard and Durell Vineyard. From the stony ancient river bottom soils in the Durell Vineyard to the Goldridge sandy soil of the Heintz Vineyard, yields are naturally very low which focuses the vine’s energy into small amounts of fruit with intense concentration both on the nose and palate.
