This wine starts with aromas of Lemon curd, peach and hints of apple. On the palate the wine slowly reveals lemongrass, pink grapefruit and honeycomb with interplaying citrus and tropical flavors followed by a long silken texture. Finishes dry with crisp minerality.
Syrah for this wine was grown on a steep hillside above the fog line. The upper sections roast in sun and heat while further down pockets of cool air and shade slow down ripening. The result is a balanced blend of bold, New World richness and Old World elegance. Violets and blueberry on the nose blend beautifully with flavors of blackberry, licorice, and pepper. In keeping with our signature style this wine is extraordinary now and will continue to improve with age.
Grown on a southern slope high above the valley floor, temperatures surrounding these vines stay low for a classic, cool-climate flavor profile. Classic Bordeaux flavors stand out with black fruit, cassis, and hints of crushed rock, while supple tannins provide excellent structure for a long, satisfying finish. This wine is ready to drink now or age beautifully for another 15 years.
Rich, alluvial soil on the western edge of Oakville give this wine its quintessential Napa Valley Cabernet flavor profile, complemented by floral, herbaceous Coombsville fruit. In the glass, graphite, violets, cassis and black cherry flavors blend with dark chocolate and ripe tannins for a long, smooth finish.
